Free tool of the week
By Rafael ~ May 21st, 2008. Filed under: Back link creation, Internet Marketing.
OK, I’ve decided to tell you guys about one free tool per week, although it may more or less frequent than that depending on how many free tools I’m made aware of during that week. Here are some grounds rules about the free tool
- I will only recommend tools that I’ve actually used. I won’t go out and be all gung ho about something unless I know that it works. Just because something is free, does mean that it has to be crap.
- I will only recommend tools that I think have value to you and to myself. If I don’t think that the tool does something that is of a good benefit to you and I, I will not promote it.
- If you use the tool that I recommend, please let me know how it works out for you.
Those are the ground rules, for now.
Without further ado, here is my free tool for the week:
It’s called Zemanta. It lets you spice up your posts with some pictures and links to other articles that are related to the content that you are writing about in your blog. I absolutely love it, even thought it seems to do some weird things to my wysiwyg editor. It’s nothing that can’t be fixed by going over to the html editor and moving a tag or two around, so I don’t think it’s a bid deal. YMMV.
All you have to do to get the browser plug-in is to follow the link at the bottom of this post and check out the plug-in for yourself. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention, one of the things that it does, is that it places your content into it’s database, so whenever someone types up an article related to your content it makes a link to your article available to the other user.
Neat huh?
