I found this really cool video from Matt Cutts about web spam.

Matt Cutts gets even from Michael Gray's

I was worried that maybe my site could be considered to be spam or be looked at poorly in the search engines. Fortunately for me, and according to this video, I have a very small chance of being considered spam. At least, by google anyway.

The other thing that I did, was that I signed up for a Google webmaster account. It was painless and a very big eye opener. The best part about it, is that it was free. If you have a domain of your own, or are planning on doing any kind of online marketing, I strenuously suggest you go get your webmaster account and go to town with the reports etc.

Nothing quite like getting an eyeful from Google itself about your site, and also seeing what Google thinks your site is about.  After all, you may think that your website is about one thing, but Google thinks the site is about something completely different.
